Mr. Drewry Hall Benson: Obituary

Mr. Drewry Hall Benson, age 66 of Ellijay, GA. passed on Tuesday, June 17th, 2014.Mr. Benson was born December 23rd, 1947 in Atlanta, GA. Drewry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, served honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was an avid Braves fan, attending games when possible. He is preceded in death by his mother Lois Gertrude Ewing Benson.

Survivors include his father, Rayner H. Benson of Ellijay, GA; Sister and brother-in-law, Bliss and Jim Cole of Ellijay, GA; Niece and husband, Jennifer C. and Chad Miller; Great nephew, Cole Miller also survives.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19th, 2014 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jim Bradley, Rev. Irene Wofford, and Edgar Land officiating. Music and vocals will be by Edgar Land and Rev. Irene Wofford. Graveside interment will follow at 11AM on Friday, June 20th, 2014 in the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 7pm on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 at the Logan Funeral Home.
