Pearl Leanne Love, 55, died June 9, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Born May 1, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas, she grew up in Boston and Atlanta, and resided in Ellijay for the past 27 years. She worked in the Gilmer County School System for 14 years as a student information specialist, and gave her time to the Ellijay First United Methodist Church as a youth director. In her jobs and volunteer work, Leanne touched the lives of thousands of youths, teaching by example how to be a good and loving person. She was an avid gardener, and loved to be at home with her garden and her family. She will be missed.
She is survived by husband Alan Bunn; daughter Rachel Bunn; mother Glenda Love; father and step-mother Gene and Stephanie Love; brothers David, Gene and Scott Love; and many others who loved her dearly.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Ellijay First United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ellijay First United Methodist Church Youth and Children Programs.
