Earl Whiteley, CEO of North Georgia Medical Center and Gilmer Nursing Home, announced the new Director of Nurses for the Gilmer Nursing Home today. Linda Wingate-Garland, a native of Gilmer county and six year employee, has accepted the promotion. Linda began her nursing career as a Candy Striper in 1967-1968 at the Gilmer Nursing Home. Some of the positions previously held by Linda have been instructor at Chattahoochee Tech, Hospital Director of Nurses, ER nurse, OR nurse, labor and delivery, and of course nurse for the Nursing home.
My Heart will always be in nursing. I lover Gilmer Nursing Home and the people that live there and I would hope to keep it strong and help Gilmer Nursing Home get stronger.
