Daniel and Gage Stephens, Cadets from the 507 Ellijay Composite Squadron, were recently honored by Congressman Doug Collins for saving a woman’s life durning a snowstorm earlier this year. Last January the two men were hiking near their home when they saw an Ford F-150 truck slide off the side of the mountain. When the driver vacated the vehicle, she fell nearly 100 feet downhill. Daniel scaled the terrain and Gage ran home to call for an ambulance and get blankets.
Because of their actions the woman’s life was saved. For their efforts Congressman Collins honored them by adding their story to the congressional record.
This past Tuesday evening, Bill Kokaly, the congressman’s field representative, presented the two cadets with resolutions from the official record.
