Mrs. Ruth Louise Stover Long : Obituary

Mrs. Ruth Louise Stover Long, age 83 of Ellijay, Georgia passd on Wednesday morning, July 23, 2014, at the Gilmer Nursing Home.Mrs. Long was born on August 30, 1930 in Ellijay, Georgia to her late parents John Elisha and Beulah Neely Stover. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, a graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1949, and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Roy Long of the home in Ellijay, GA; Daughter and son-in-law, Mary Sue and Charles Stiles of Ellijay, GA; Sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy R. Long, Jerry R. Long, and Tim and Anne Long, all of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren and in-laws, Rachel and Josh Aaron, Kristan Long, and Alan and Ashley Long; Great grandchildren, Abby Grace Aaron and Eli Aaron also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday morning, July 26th, 2014 from the Macedonia Baptist Church Rev. Michael Cantrell and Rev. Larry Waddell officiating. Music and vocals will be by Kirk Champion, Sharon Rogers, and the Macedonia Baptist Church Choir. Graveside interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ruel Southern, Euel Southern, Wallace Anderson, John Elder, Larry Mullinax, Anthony Mullinax, Josh Aaron, Sawyer Pettit, and Alan Long.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Logan Funeral Home.
