The Good Samaritan Catholic Church held its 12th annual flea market on September 19th and 20th. The event was held at the Lions Club Fairgrounds and included a large variety of items for sale. Kitchenware, clothes, decorative items, toys, and other donated merchandise were available at very reasonable prices. Debi Slaughter, chair for the flea market event, stated that all profits would be used for the building fund. Ms. Slaughter also told us that the entire parish worked very hard to make this event possible and donations were contributed in a variety of ways. From meals for the volunteers to people who cleaned, moved, and set up the tables, etc. This event has been become very popular to those in need and also for those who simply love to collect needed items at a good deal.
