Rosa Lee Garland, age 66 of Dalton, formerly of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia.She was of the Baptist faith, born December 31, 1947 to her late parents Benjamin and Viola Sanford in Ellijay, GA. Rosa Lee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by many.

Survivors include, Husband of 40 years, Billy Garland of the home in Dalton, daughter and son-in-law Stacie and Tim Griggs of Ellijay, son and daughter-in-law Darren and Cheryl Braswell Garland of Ellijay, grandchildren Sarah, Gracie, Cody and Colter Griggs; great-grandchildren Chelsey, Rylee and Isaiah Griggs; sisters Rethie Dotson of Ellijay, Winnie Bell Banks of Ellijay, Lillian Bridges of Ellijay, Juanita Long of Dalton, Josephine Creger of Dalton; brother Harold Sanford of Ellijay; mother-in-law Willa Nell Garland of Ellijay; sister and brother-in-law Barbara G. and Gary Spivey of Ellijay, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday October 3rd from Crossroads Baptist Church, with the Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Billy Dotson and Rev. John Reece officiating. Interment follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint Blackwell, Sharon Sanford, Greg Sanford, Timmy Griggs, Gary Spivey, Michael Creger, Hugh Wilkins, John Reece and Brent Wilkens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Logan Funeral Home. Family requests no food be brought to the funeral home.
