The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team, honored its two seniors Will Gudger and Jaime Lopez. After a brief ceremony, the Bobcats then bested the Fannin Rebels, 63-12, the Northwest Whitfield Bruins 50-18 and the Calhoun Yellow Jackets 62-0.The dual against the Rebels was a homecoming of sorts, as long time GHS assistant, David Henson, faced off with the Bobcats for the first time as the head coach of Fannin County High School. The Bobcats won 63-12.
The Bobcats then faced Area opponent Northwest Whitfield, bashing the Bruins 50-18, before swatting the Yellow Jackets of Calhoun 62-0, despite Bobcats’ head coach, Sam Snider, turning down multiple Calhoun forfeits.
