Mr. Howard Holt: Obituary

Mr. Howard Holt age 86 of Mt. Zion Rd. Ellijay, GA died Thursday January 15, 2015. Mr. Holt was born April 27, 1928 in Ohio to the late Fred and Annie Chadwick Holt. He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1940, he was ordained as a Deacon in 1958. Mr. Holt was also a member of the Oak Bowery Masonic Lodge #81 F&AM. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Roselle Holt Chastain and brother, Gene Holt.

Survivors Include: wife of 60 years, Rachel Penland Holt, of the home; daughter Edit Holt DeBoard; son and daughter in-law, Wayne and Diane Holt; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday January 18th at 2pm from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Siniard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday January 16th from 4pm until 9pm and Saturday January 17th from 2pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
