Mrs. Maxine Chastain Rogers age 56 of Ellijay, GA died Tuesday January 13, 2015. Mrs. Rogers was born March 15, 1958 in Pickens County to the late Emery Chastain and Dorothy Robinson Chastain. She worked in the textile industry and attended the Jesus Church on Big Creek Road. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donny Rogers and mother in-law, Van Rogers and husband James Frady.
Survivors include: son and daughter in-law, Eugene Payne and Carol Smith, Ellijay; daughter and son in-law, Virginia and Tommy Stover, Ellijay; brother and sister in-law, Richard and Wanda Chastain, Jasper; sisters and brothers in-law, Charlene and Charlie Meiss, Jasper, Erlene and Edwin Wigington, Jasper; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; great nephew, Michael Haze Morgans, Jasper; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services were held Thursday January 15th at 3pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stover officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday January 15th from 10am until 3pm at the funeral home.
