Gilmer Gives Grage the Go Ahead

The Gilmer High School Bobcats football team recently hired former Colquitt County Packers assistant coach, Zach Grage. Grage served as the running backs for the last four years and the strength and conditioning coach for the last two years. He was named co-offensive coordinator and helped lead the Packers to the AAAAA 2015 State Title, with an undefeated 15-0 record. Under Grage’s tutelage the Packers passed for 195.2 yards per game and ran for 201.6 yards per game, scored 93 touchdowns, 687 points for an average of 45.8 points per game. Grage replaces Wesley Tankersley, a Gilmer High School alumnus, who led his Alma Mater to the most successful era of Bobcats football after he took the head coaching job at Ridgeland. Tankersley left Gilmer with a 42-33 record during over seven years (42-23 in the last six).
