A fun St. Petrick’s Day celebration was held in Downtown Ellijay, GA on Saturday March 14th with lots of activities. First several pooches brought their humans out for a parade and an exciting pet contest. Dogs dressed in their best green and showing off the newest tricks entered a contest held by VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital. Great prizes were supplied by our wonderful local merchants. Prizes were awarded to winners for Best Dressed, Most Unusual Pet, Most Unusual Trick, Best Trick, Smallest Pet, Biggest Pet, Mr.& Mrs. Congeniality, Greenest Pet, Most Festive, Best Weiner, Longest Ears, Looks most like owner, Cutest Pet, Smallest Duo, and Best in Show – Grand Champion, plus 2 honorable mentions!
