Mr. Larry Allen Johnson, age 68 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Friday evening, March 20, 2015, at North Georgia Medical Center.Mr. Johnson was born on October 29, 1946 in Murphy, North Carolina to his late parents, Sheridan Ray Johnson and Jerdie Mae Brooks Johnson, the youngest of five children. He was a member of Martin’s Creek Methodist Church in Murphy, NC, and a graduate of Murphy High School, Class of 1964. Larry retired as a regional manager for Bell South after 30 years of service, then worked as co-owner of North Georgia Computer Brokers in Ellijay, GA.. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Russell and Douglas Johnson. Larry loved fishing, being with family, tinkering on computers and living life to the fullest. Larry never met a stranger and was the kind of man people could count on for a simple favor or a listening ear. Always upbeat and easy-going, Larry lived to love and help those who needed a hand.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda V. Johnson of the home in Ellijay, GA; Sons and daughters-in-law Ryan and Arin Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Corey and Nai Johnson of Beverly Hills, CA and Mitchell Faulkner of Iraq; Daughter and son-in-law, Farah and Jaimie Hughes of Murphy, NC; Grandchildren, Ruby Logan Johnson, Madison Faulkner, Bianca Hughes, Maddox Hughes, and Colton Hughes; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Tommy Atkinson of Blairsville, GA and Joyce and Gene martin of Murphy, NC; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Feathers officiating.

The family received friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Logan Funeral Home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 4002018, Des Moines, IA 50340-2018, in memory of Larry Johnson.
