Mr. Eugene Clinton Jones: Obituary

Mr. Eugene Clinton Jones, age 80 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Saturday afternoon, April 18, 2015, at his residence.Eugene was born December 17, 1934 in Ellijay, Georgia to his late parents Clinton and Artie Ash Jones. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked as a logger and timber cutterr for Sluder Lumber Company. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Wood Jones, daughter, Beverly Jones Ash, sister, Ruthelle Jones, and brothers Jack Jones and Will Jones.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Debbie Jones, Wayne and Angie Jones, and Squeak and Kim Jones, all of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren, Jason Jones, Amanda Jones Hensley, Josh Jones, Nathan Jones, Jacob Jones, Katie Jones, Hope Jones, and Cheyenne Jones; Great grandchildren, Ethan Jones, Natalie Hensley, Carter Jones, Bryson Hensley, Brier Jones, Cole Jones, and Brenna Jones; Sister, Minnie Jones Stillwell of Ellijay, GA also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Bryan Hensley, Rev. Sam May, and Rev. Clyde Jones officiating. Music and vocals will be by the Little Baptist Church Choir and Lauren Jones. Graveside interment will be held in the Mountaintown Baptist Church Cemetery with Jason Jones, Nathan Jones, Josh Jones, Jacob Jones, Nathan Hensley, Clinton Jones, George Jones and Donnie Stillwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Stillwell, Wayne Sluder, Kenny Fendley, Rick Rittenberry, Mitch Barnes, Lee Oliver, Chris Chastain, and David Pritchett.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2015, and all day until 9pm on Monday, April 20th, 2015 at the Logan Funeral Home.
