An armed robbery with gunshots fired occurred Tuesday night, June 2nd, at the Dollar General store located in Morganton, Georgia. According to Fannin County Sheriff Dane Kirby two individuals entered the store at approximately 10pm with guns blazing. A customer was wounded in the gunfire. The robbers headed south on Hwy 515 and an alert was put out at that time.
An East Ellijay police officer started a pursuit of the vehicle due to its speed. The vehicle pulled over at the Waffle House in East Ellijay. The driver and 3 passengers were arrested and transported to the Gilmer County Jail. The 4 robbers are identified as Kristin Alexis Daniel, Randall Brooks, Tyrone Johnathan Thompson, and Michael Anthony Pettigrew.
