Daily Prayer: 06/05

Matthew 5:14-16. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Out of our darkness we have come, O Lord. We have entered into your marvelous light. You are the light of the world and you have said that we are the light of the world. We know that this is only because you have dispelled the darkness in which we have walked. Still, it is hard to comprehend that we are even a small part of what you are.

Help the hidden lamps to come out from their hiding and get up on the lampstand for the light they have needs to shine where it can do some good. Forgive your people for being secret in their faith.

May the deeds done this day by the person who now prays bring glory to you.
