Progress continues on the boardwalk project downtown.Store owners were overwhelmingly excited about the new boardwalk behind their shops, speaking specifically to the opportunities to move street festivals and dining areas to the new boardwalk.
However, not everyone has been in support of the new boardwalk with many wondering why it is being constructed on the backside of these North Main Street shops, with one commenter on Facebook going so far as to call it “basically a dead street.”
However, progress rolls forward with the project with hopes of additional beautification from shop owners who are looking to brighten up the street with some even renovating the back sides of their shops.
