GCL does not have any storytime events scheduled for this week. Storytime will resume next week. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Lego Club
Saturday, October 3 @ 2:00 PM
Does your child like building with Legos? Most kids do, so bring them to the library to create their masterpiece. We then display their creations until our next month’s meeting. As always, participation is free and available to any child. Adult supervision is required.
School’s Out Movie – Hotel Transylvania
Friday, October 9 @ 2:00 PM
When monsters want to get away from it all, they go to Count Dracula’s Hotel Transylvania, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without humans around to bother them. However, an unforeseen complication unfolds when an ordinary human unwittingly crashes the party and falls in love with Mavis. All ages are welcome.
Young Adult Programs
No Young Adult programs have been scheduled for this week.

Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Already know how to knit or crochet, come for the fun! If you are unable to attend a meeting, that’s ok. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color.

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf
We have two weeks of art for you in the Bookshelf, this week featuring big, beautiful books of works by famous and lesser-known artists, a donation from a generous patron. You’ll want some for yourself or perhaps as a gift for a lucky friend.
Consider joining FOGL. Memberships start at only $10.00 and contribute to buying new books (including E-books) for the library’s collection. You’ll enjoy the monthly newsletter, special events, and will be the first to know about the collections we put out each week.
Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from noon-2:00 on Saturdays.
