Tween Advisory Board
Monday, November 9 @ 5:00 PM
It’s your library! Help us plan, develop and promote the programs and projects young people care about. The advisory board is open to anyone ages 8 – 12.

Family Storytimes
Tuesday, November 10 @ 10:30 AM
This week’s theme is “Wish Upon a Dream”. November’s story themes are all about dreams, wishes, etc. All ages welcome. Story time is always followed by a simple craft you can may complete with your child.
My 1st Book Club
Tuesday, November 11 @ 4:00 PM
“Dinosaurs Before Dark” – Magic Tree House #1 by Mary Osborne. For children in grades 2-4. Drop by the library before the meeting to pick up your reading packet. Read the book before the meeting and come prepared to discuss the book with other children. Kids 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
LapSit Storytime
Thursday, November 12 @ 10:30 AM
“Wish Upon a Dream”. LapSit is a great way to introduce early literacy skills to your child. Ages 1-3 with an adult.

Lego Club
Saturday, November 14 @ 2:00 PM
Our Lego Club is super popular and fun. Children of all ages are encouraged to participate and create something cool with our collection of Legos. Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

Lunch & Learn Knitting
Wednesday, November 11 @ 12:00 PM
Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Already know how to knit or crochet, come for the fun! If you are unable to attend a meeting, that’s ok. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color.
Basic Computer Skills
Thursday, November 12 @ 10:00 AM
If you feel intimidated by a computer or technology, consider joining us for a seminar discussing the basics of using a computer. No previous computer skills are required. You will need an active library card to participate.
Natural Holiday Wreaths
Saturday, November 14 @ 10:00 AM
Master Gardener Workshop. Make a Natural Holiday Wreath. This workshop will be held in the basement of GCL. All are welcome to participate in this educational program. Optional: For a fee that covers the cost of materials, attendees can create their own succulent arrangement. Sign up at the Gilmer County Extension office or at the Saturday Farmer’s Market beside the courthouse.

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf

The Bookshelf is featuring a great collection of books on American history this week, with special emphasis on 20th century conflicts and politics. Whether you’re interested in the past or present state of the nation you’ll find something new and different to read.
Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from noon-2:00 on Saturdays.
