Rev. Edward Davis Lacey: Obituary

Rev. Edward Davis Lacey, Jr. age 77 of Ellijay, GA passed Saturday November 21, 2015.

Rev. Lacey was born January 15, 1938 in Gordon County, son of the late Edward  Davis Lacey, Sr. and Lois Alma Chambers Lacey. He was a member of the First  Baptist Church of Ellijay and a graduate from the University of Georgia in  International Theological Seminary. He is preceded in death by his infant daughter  Lonna Lacey and sister, Shenna Edge.

Survivors Include: his wife, Phyllis H. Lacey, of Ellijay, GA; son and daughter in-law, Edward Davis Lacey, III and Lisa Lacey, of Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons in-law, Tamara and Del Land, of Ellijay, GA, Donna and Ronald Thomas, of Ellijay, GA; brother, Kelly Lacey, of Ranger, GA; 8 grandchildren, Adam Land, Caleb Land, Tasha Land, Aaron Land, Amanda Thomas, Anna Thomas, Davis Lacey, IV and Mac Lacey; 9 great grandchildren, Haley Mooney, Harrison Mooney, David Land, Kathryn Land, Lillie Land, Canaan Land, Asher Land, Rebekah Land and Benjamin Thomas.

Funeral Services will be held Monday November 23rd at 2pm from the First Baptist Church in Ellijay with Rev. James Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery in Calhoun, GA.

The family will receive friends Sunday November 22nd from 2pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

The family request no food be brought to the funeral home.
