Ruel E. Reece: Obituary

Mr. Ruel E. Reece age 88 of Ellijay, GA died Wednesday February 3,2016.

Mr. Reece was born June 4, 1927 in Gilmer County the son of the late Boyd Jackson and Lemma Lorenza Ralston Reece. He was graduate of Ellijay High School Class of 1946, a farmer, veteran serving with the U.S. Army and a Deacon of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by parents, brothers; Carl, Hayward, Kermit and Estes Reece, sisters; Oleeta R. Sales, Jewell Reece Heath, and Wylene Reece.

Survivors include: wife of 54 years, Ruth Ann Teague Reece, of Ellijay, GA; son and daughter in-law, Ray and Leslie Ann Reece, of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son in-law, Rhonda and Kent Sanford, of Ellijay, GA; brother, B.J. Reece, of Ellijay, GA; sister, Louise Bradshaw, of Gainesville, GA; sisters in-law and brothers in-law, Ellen Reece, of Ellijay, GA, Herbert and Lou Ann Teague, of Ellijay, GA, Leo and Kathy McKee, of Alma, AR; grandchildren, Justin Banks, Brady Banks, Reece and Kerri Ann Sanford, Caitlin Sanford, Courtney and Damon Smith.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 6th at 3pm from the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Billy Dotson and Rev. John Reece officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends Friday February 5th from 4pm until 9pm at the funeral home
