Mrs. Stover was born October 7, 1928 in Gilmer County to the late Joseph Lester and Roxie Mathis Ellis. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Jay Stover; son, Ernest Clay Stover; brother, Joe Ellis; sister, Josie Stamey.
Survivors Include: son and daughter, David and Martha Stover, of Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons in-law, Sandra and Randy McClure, Sheryl and Lionel York, Gayle Seiverling and James Henson, Glenda Garland and J.C. Sluder, all of Ellijay, GA; Special Caregiver, Mechelle Thumma; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday February 27th 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stover, Pastor Wendell Stover and Rev. Billy Nealey officiating. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday February 28th from 3pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
