Mrs. Edith Ellen Davis age 86 of Ellijay, GA died Monday February 29, 2016.

Mrs. Davis was born June 16, 1929 in Murphy, NC to the late Luther Cub and Mattie Mae Dockery Sutton. She was a cashier for the Dairy Queen and a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter R. Davis; son, Joey Davis and sister, Julia Ann Day.

Survivors Include: son and daughter in-law, Jerry and Patricia Davis, of Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons in-law, Glenda Sanford, of Jasper, GA, Judy and Ray Gibson, of Ellijay, GA, Angie and Richard Stephens, of Ellijay, GA, Tammy and Paul Bradley, of Ellijay, GA; sisters, Helen Nelson, of Ellijay, GA, Mary Nell Capehart, of Murphy, NC; 9 grandchildren, J.J. Davis, Milena Waddell, Shane Sanford, Russell Sanford, Pamela Smith, Connie Henson, Nicki Stephens, Dalton Stephens and Davis Bradley; 14 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 2nd at 4pm from the Clear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Dotson, Rev. Roy Scott, Rev. Coy Richards and Rev. Adam Banks officiating. Music will be by Regina Morgan and the Church Choir. Pallbearers will be J.J. Davis, Russell Sanford, Shane Sanford, Tim Henson, Clay Waddell and Dalton Stephens. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday March 1st from 11am until 9pm at the funeral home.
