Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Baxter age 64 of Ellijay, GA died Tuesday March 15, 2016.

Mr. Baxter was born January 1, 1952 in Polk County, GA. He worked in construction as a carpenter. He is preceded in death by his father, William McKinley Baxter and sister, Marie Mcafee.

Survivors Include: wife, Marty Clark Baxter, of the home; children and spouses, Amanda and Adam DeBoard, of Ellijay, GA, Kayle Baxter and Jason Chastain, of Ellijay, GA; mother, Ina Mae Baxter, of Ellijay, GA; brothers and sister in-law, William and Sheree Baxter, of Ellijay, Donald Wimpey, of Atlanta, GA; sisters and brothers in-law, Ruby and David McCollum, of Ellijay, GA, Jerry and Randall Dover, of Ellijay, GA, Irene and Jerry Ledford, of Gwinnett Co., GA, Christine and Billy Nealey, of Ellijay, GA, Naomi and Donnie Lowman, of Missouri, Sue Kelly, of Atlanta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Morgan DeBoard, Darren DeBoard and Ellie Chastain; father in-law and mother in-law, Carl and Ernestine Clark.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday March 17th at 4pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stover officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday March 16th from 4pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
