Mrs. Lillie M. Jones Hammontree Haire, age 79 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Sunday evening, March 20, 2016, at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, Georgia.

Mrs. Haire was born August 11, 1936 in Ellijay, Georgia to her late parents Clyde Jefferson Jones and Clara M. Chadwick Jones. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star, and retired after working for Delta Airlines and Xerox. Lillie is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Hammontree and her son-in-law Mickey Murphy.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, L.O. Haire of the home in Ellijay, GA; Daughter, Judy Murphy of McDonough, GA; Sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Hammontree of Morrow, GA, Paul and Lana Haire of Monroe, LA and Jeff and Stephany Haire of Locust Grove, GA; 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great granddaughter, and 2 Great great grandchildren; Sisters, Margaret Champion of Shadydale, GA and Diane Ferguson of Gainesville, GA; Brother, Gerald Jones of Rockmart, GA also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Siniard and Rev. Mark Chastain officiating. Music and vocals will be by Irene Wofford. Graveside interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob Hammontree, Michael Cantrell, Tim Page, Hassell Chastain, Matt Chastain and Jeff Haire. Donnie Jones will serve as a honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the Logan Funeral Home.
