Mr. Tim Parker age 70 of Ellijay died Tuesday May 10, 2016.

Mr. Parker was born November 3, 1945 in Gilmer County the son of the late Clayton and Jean Osborne Parker. Tim graduated from Gilmer High School Class of 1964, after graduation he served in the U.S. Navy and later worked for the State of Georgia Department of Transportation until his retirement. He was a member of the Flat Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Bluegrass Music.

He is survived by his wife; Mary Ruth Plumley Parker, daughters and son-in-law: Amy and Eric Maddox, Amanda Parker all of Ellijay, sister and brother-in-law: Betty and Eddie Ellington, Ellijay, brother; Ken Parker, Chatsworth, grandchildren,Bethany Purcell and Timothy Maddox along with several nieces and nephews .

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 12, 2016 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. John Bramlett officiating. Interment will be in the Flat Creek Church cemetery with graveside rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.
