Mrs. Wilma Ruth Peeples Rice age 85 of Ellijay died Wednesday May 11, 2016.

Mrs. Rice was born June 1, 1930 in Murray County the daughter of the late R.S and Ethel Ruth Leonard Peeples. She worked in the Textile Industry and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by husband Winfred Rice and daughter Rita Rice, brothers; Leonard and Luke Peeples.

Survivors include: daughters and son–in-law: Ann and Jo Wayne Beal, Ellijay, Betty and Hubert Hall, Chatsworth, granddaughter: Christy Ballew great-grandchildren; Joseph and Trinity Beal, brother;Robert Peeples, Chatsworth.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 4:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Jo Wayne Beal officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 2pm until the funeral hour.
