Mrs. Barbara Keener Strickland age 56 of Ellijay died Thursday May 12, 2016.

Mrs. Strickland was born September 1,1959 in Gilmer County the daughter of Lorena Mullins Keener and the late Alvin Keener, she was a Gilmer High School graduate, Homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preced in death by her father and nephew Robbie Keener.

Survivors include: Husband, Dennis Strickland, daughter Gina, mother; Lorena Keener,Ellijay, brother; Andy Keener(Rita), sisters; Linda Nicholson (Billy) and Lisa Kell all of Ellijay, 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Payne and Rev. Eugene Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday from 5 until 9pm at the funeral home.
