Mr. Ray Sommer age 84 of Ellijay, GA passed Thursday June 9, 2016.

Mr. Sommer was born July 6, 1931 in Osage, Iowa to the late Gerald and Ruth Sommer. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Ranger, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.

Survivors Include: wife of 52 years, Laura Young Sommer, of the home; daughter, Tabitha Tesnue, Alexandria, VA; sons, David Sommer, Myrtle Beach, SC and Daniel Sommer, Florida; sister, Pearl DeRamus, Mina, AK; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; adopted family, Doc and Elaine McClure, their children and grandchildren; Special Friends, Roger and Gerri Bradley.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday June 12th at 1pm from the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Ranger, GA with Elder Wendell Stover and Elder Mike Conley officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday June 12th from 11am until 1pm at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
