Mrs. Leola Carroll Griggs, age 93 of Ellijay, GA, died Friday June 17, 2016.

Mrs. Griggs was born September 16, 1922 to the late William Herbert and Annie Mae Lacky Carroll. She was a homemaker. Her husband Glen Griggs and sons, Raymond, Alden and Gene Griggs preceded her in death.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law; Herbert and Joan Griggs, Dalton, David and Ann Griggs, Tunnel Hill, Bobby and Nettie Griggs and Dwight Griggs all of Ellijay, daughters and sons-in-law: Rosa and Leonard Strickler, Dalton, Glenda and Melvin Davis, Bernice Mosley and Phyllis Low all of Ellijay, special daughter-in-law: Carol Drabing, Ellijay, sister; Thelma Griggs, Rome, 27 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Tarr and Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Ballew Memorial cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Saturday from 2 until 9pm at the funeral home.
