Lloyd “Odell” Harrison Davis, age 79 of the Tails Creek Community of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Sunday, July 10, 2016. He was of the Baptist Faith. Born May 18th, 1937 in Ellijay, Georgia to his late parents Harrison Samuel and Arvilla Griggs Davis.A honorably discharged veteran who served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Davis was a retired truck driver for Georgia Carpet after more than 25 years of employment. He is preceded in death by sisters Mary Nell Davis, Bernice D. Pankey, Louise D. Young and brother Dan Davis,

Survivors include wife of 58 years Ruth Ann Falls Davis of the Home in Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Randy Watkins of Ellijay; sons & daughter-in law Travis Davis, Ronnie & Vickey Davis; grandchildren Haley Davis Logan, Lee Knight, Wesley Epperson; great grandchildren Gage Knight, Rylie Knight, Jase Epperson, Emma Epperson; brother & sister-in-law Melvin & Glenda Davis of Ellijay.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12th, 2016 at Dover’s Chapel Church with Billy Dotson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dover’s Chapel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Watkins, Wayne Davis, Craig Young, James Pittman, Lee Knight and Wesley Epperson.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Logan Funeral Home.
