Mr. James Bryan Hensley, age 91 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Sunday evening, August 21, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Hensley was born April 6, 1925 in Ellijay, Georgia to his late parents Joseph Bryan Hensley and Mae Teague Hensley. James was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, served honorably in the United States Army during WWII, and farmed for a living.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy Adell Waddell Hensley of the home in Ellijay, GA; Sons and daughters-in-law, Eddy and Kathy Hensley and Jerry and Debbie Hensley, all of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren and in-laws, Kristy Taylor, Heidi Hensley, Rev. Bryan and Cristy Hensley and Nathan and Amanda Hensley; Nine great grandchildren; Brother, Kenneth Hensley of Ellijay, GA also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Hensley and Rev. Billy Dotson officiating. Music and vocals will be by Kristy Taylor, Heidi Hensley, Chloe Hensley and the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Choir. Graveside interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Nathan Hensley, Danny Hensley, Joe Hensley, David Hensley, Herbert Teague and Junior Teague serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 9pm on Monday, August 22nd, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home.
