Mr. Lee G. Charles age 64 of Ellijay died Sunday August 21,2016.

Mr. Charles was born December 19,1951 in Chickapee, Mass, the son of the late John C. and Irmgard Weinheimer Charles. Mr. Charles was employed by the Gilmer Sheriff’s Office as a deputy, serving with the Court Services Division.

Survivors include: daughter and companion Dr. Leslie Charles and Ben Thomblin, De Bary,FL his companion, Heidi Heitlauf, Ellijay, and sister: Jeannie Bass, Ft. Myers, FL.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Chastain officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 5 until 8Pm at the funeral home.
