Heartwood held its Halloween Howl on Saturday, Oct. 15^th.  Now in its third year, the Howl gives kids a chance to spin their own ghost tales around an open fire, traverse a spooky-scary, young-kid friendly, haunted trail ending in a monster mash.  Before dark, the kids rotated through whatever costumes they found or dreamt up and screamed their way around trees and grass like only kids hyped on Halloween and sugar can.  The Howl also gives the Heartwood Community a chance to raise funds to build own its community garden.  The Heartwood Community holds the Howl the third weekend in October.
