Mr. Thomas E. Shorter, age 53, of Ellijay, died Thursday November 3, 2016.

Mr. Shorter was born, April 11, 1963, in Snow Flake, Arizona, the son of the late Earl and Allie Painter Shorter. He worked as a dye mixer for Shaw Industries and was a member of the 11th Avenue Baptist Church in Dalton.

Survivors include: wife; Wanda Shorter, sons, Mark Chute, Williamsburg, KY, Jerry Price, Indiana, Daniel Welch, Dalton, daughters; Crystal Shorter, Ellijay, Brittany Hicks, Ellijay, Heather Bechtold, Cartersville, Melissa Bryant, Williamsburg, Ky, 7 grandchildren 1 great-grandchild. Brothers; Steve Shorter, Napa, IN, Raleigh Shorter, Ellijay, William Shorter, Elkhart, IN, sisters, Darlene Nunn, Lillian, AL, Betty McArthur, Blue Ridge, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday November 7, 2016, at 11:00am from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Beavers officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 5 until 9pm at the funeral home.
