Join us for this week’s story “Dinosaurs Rock!” All ages welcome. Family Story Time is an excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.

My First Book Club

My First Book Club “Lulu and the Brontosaurus” by Judith Viorst.  For children in grades 2-4.  Drop by the library before the meeting to pick up your reading packet. Read the book before the meeting and come prepared to discuss the book with other children. Kids 9 and under with adult supervision please.

The Lego Crew
Saturday, November 12 @ 2:00 PM
Lego Crew has a different theme each month. Children can work alone or in teams to make their own special creations, which will be displayed at the library until the next month’s meeting. Lego Crew is open to anyone who want to participate

Lunch & Learn Knitting
Wednesday, November 10 @ 12:00 PM
Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Lauren Cape and Lynda Decker will be your host and teacher. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! It’s OK if can’t come to all the meetings. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color.  If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf

The Bookshelf received a great collection of books on religion and spirituality. They would be excellent inspirational choices for the season of giving and thanks.  There are many unusual titles, most in like-new condition.  Our thanks to the donor!

If you’re not already a Friend of the Library please join us next time you come into the Bookshelf.  Memberships start at only $10.00 and contribute to buying new books (including E-books) for the library’s collection.  You’ll enjoy the monthly newsletter, special events, and will be the first to know about the collections we put out each week.

Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from 12:00-2:00 on Saturdays
