ROAD CLOSURE: Legion Road – December 28th 2016 from 8AM – 8PM.
· City of Ellijay will be replacing a culvert under the roadway of Legion Road on December 28, 2016.
· The construction will be just East of the Coosawattee River Resort gate.
· Closing the entire roadway enables work crews to complete their work quickly preventing additional days of road construction.
· The roadway will be closed completely from 8AM until 8PM on that day.
· Motorists needing to access residences located west of the work area are encouraged to plan to utilize Highway 282 and Pleasant Grove Road during the specified day and time.
· The much needed culvert replacement will make the roadway more safe and is necessary to prevent the roadway from washing away during heavy rains.
· We hope that the advanced notice will help minimize the temporary inconvenience created by this much needed road maintenance.
