This Week’s Feature:  Reality Day

On Wednesday, March 22nd, the GHS tenth grade class will take place in an event known as Reality Day.  This beneficial program takes students through a role play in which they are adults who have to make financial decisions.  Students are given an information sheet which tells them their job, salary, and other basic information.  They then have their taxes deducted, set up a savings account, buy a home and car, set up utilities, and make other financial decisions.  The program helps students to see just how far, or not, their money will go in the real world.  Many volunteers from the community work to plan and implement this program that teaches our students such valuable life skills.
