Mrs. Bobbie Pritchett Burgess age 71 of Ellijay, GA died Wednesday April 5, 2017.

Mrs. Burgess was born July 21, 1945 in Woodstock, GA to the late Dallas and Wilma Pritchett. She was a member of the Agape Church in St. Mary’s, GA, and Cartecay Methodist Church in Ellijay, GA. Mrs. Burgess was a college graduate from Reinhardt College and worked as a CPA in tax services. She was also a prominent local business owner. She is preceded in death by parents, sister, Ann Burton, brother, Donnie Pritchett, and sons, Eric and Tim.

Survivors Include: husband, Ed Burgess, of the home; son & daughter-in-law, Andy & Alicia Macaulay, of Cartersville, GA; step-children, Hugh Burgess, of Ellijay, GA, Daniel & Gwen Burgess, of Ellijay, GA and Andrea & Charles Shoemaker, of Jasper, GA; sisters, Sue & Edwin Caylor, of Dalton, GA and Joan King, of St. Stevens, SC; grandchildren, Madison Macaulay, Kyle Macaulay, Cameron Macaulay, Nicholas Macaulay, Savannah Campioni, Taylor Rudy, Drew Burgess, Austin Burgess, Derik Mullinax, Miranda Mullinax, Courtney Esposito, Brooke Burgess, Christopher Shoemaker, and Christina Shoemaker-Ellis; and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday April 9^th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Cartecay Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday April 8^th from 2pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
