 Thursday, April 13 was a bittersweet night for the Gilmer High School(GHS) soccer team and their coaches as they gave recognition to their seniors.

 Seniors were walked by their parents and siblings, who showed great pride in the accomplishments of the seniors. Likewise the students demonstrated the joy of being able to walk side by side with their parents to receive a great recognition.

 The soon to be graduates were received by Coaches April Nicholson, Simon Phipps, Josh Fountain and Principal Carla Foley, as the announcer spoke about their future goals, best memories, and what they were thankful for.

  Underclassmen team members displayed pride and happiness to see their teammates’ success. In honor of each senior the team also made a poster that represented them.

 The night was filled with a mix of emotions, but was an overall pride filled night for the GHS families and friends.
