Mrs. Elaine Sawyer Whittemore, age 67, of Ellijay, died Sunday April 23, 2017.

Mrs. Whittemore was born October 10, 1949, in Grundy County, TN the daughter of the late Laurence and Adelaide LaSheir Sawyer. She enjoyed building Blue Bird Houses.

Survivors include: husband; Edward Whittemore, Jr., son and daughter-in-law; Marvin and Joni Whittemore, daughter and son-in-law; Michelle and Mark Sanford, father-in-law; Edward Whittemore, Sr. brothers; Darwin Sawyer, Lyle, “E.A” Sawyer, Tommy Sawyer, sister; Doris Sawyer, grandchildren; Gina Scoggins, Jeremy Sparks, Dylan Whittemore, John Sanford, great-grandchild; Isla Jane Sparks

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm from the Yukon cemetery with Rev. Pat Shelton and Bro. Kevin Worland officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Garland, Scott Sharp, Ryan Scoggins, Dillion Whittemore, and Jeremy

Sparks. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Callihan and Eldridge Harper.

Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
