Mrs. Jessie Lillian Watkins Holloway, age 98 of the Boardtown community, Ellijay, GA passed Monday morning, May 1st, 2017 at the Gilmer Nursing Home following a short illness.

Mrs. Holloway was born August 11th, 1918 in Epworth, GA to her late parents Rufus M. Watkins and Margaret A. Golden Watkins. She was a member of Colwell Baptist Church and worked as a kriller at Blue Ridge Carpet. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Hood Holloway, sisters Grace Ensley, Audrey Ensley, Janie Dockery, Eva Gay McFarland, brothers Ernest Watkins, Arnold Watkins, Annis Watkins and James Watkins.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Bobbie and Tobie Green and Margaret and Steve Farist, all of Ellijay, GA; son and daughter-in-law James and Judy Holloway of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, David Green, Robby Davis, Michael Green, Matt Chastain, Jessica Wise and Steven Farist; Ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 from the Chapel of Logan Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Mull and Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Music and vocals will be by Loren and Donna McVey and Aimee Melton. Graveside interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Matt Chastain, Robby Davis, Michael Green, David Green, Steven Farist and Matthew Chastain serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 8pm on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 at the Logan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Gary Hyde, 156 North Jones Mill Road, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Holloway.

The family requests that no food be brought to the funeral home.
