Ms. Betty Jane Lyke Bevins, age 87 of Ellijay, GA passed Friday afternoon, August 4th, 2017 at her residence.

Ms. Bevins was born November 25, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to her late parents Harold Vincent and Thelma Marie Laparte Lyke.  She was a homemaker.  Betty is preceded in death by her son Michael Welch, sister Judy and brother Bill Lyke.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Welch of Michigan; sons, David Welch and Kenny Welch, both of Ellijay, GA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Lyke York of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Haraldine Lyke Colwell of Bottle Creek, Michigan, and Linda Lyke Balyea of Naples, FL also survives.

A private family memorial service is being planned and will be held at a later date.
