Mr. Roger Winston Green, age 69, and Kathy Headrick Green age 63 of Cherry Log, GA, died Wednesday August 9, 2017.

Mr. Green was born in Gilmer County to the late Elisha Houston and Pearl Porter Green on January 1, 1948.

Mrs. Green was born March 5, 1954 in Fannin County. She was a member of the Upper Cherry Log Baptist Church. Mrs. Green is preceded by; daughter, Cecelia Sanford; father, Bud Headrick and son in-law, Chad Sanford.

Roger’s survivors include: sons; Steven Green of Cherry Log, grandchildren; Dillan, Ashley and Dakota Sanford and Kaleb Green, sister; Shirl Headrick of Ellijay, mother-in-law; Edith Headrick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Kathy’s survivors include: son, Steven Green, of Cherry Log, GA; mother, Edith Headrick; brothers, James Headrick, of Ellijay, GA and Jerry Headrick, of Dalton, GA; sisters, Ruth Nicholson, of Morganton, GA, Ruby Ledford, of Cherry Log, GA and Carolyn Patterson, of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Dillan, Ashley and Dakota Sanford and Kaleb Green.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 2:00pm from the Bernhardt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Merrill and Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11th from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and Saturday, August 12th from 10:00am until 9:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the grandchildren.
