Mrs. Janet Logan Rowland, age 90 of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Ellijay, GA, passed Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at the Grace Manor at Lake Morton in Lakeland, FL.

Mrs. Rowland was born March 3rd, 1927 in Ellijay, GA to her late parents John William and Mary Azalee Davis Logan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, GA. Janet was a graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1945 and attended Southern Business University. She retired from working in various capacities for the federal government, where she served at Walter Reed Army Hospital, as a court reporter in the military courts, and most recently for the Center for Disease Control as head of event planning. Mrs. Rowland is preceded in death by her husband, Art Rowland, son, Stanley Rowland, sisters, Buren Cannon, Cleo Sellers, Ruby Ballew and Noble Evans and her brothers, Claude Logan and John Thomas Logan.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Alexander L. and Marina Rowland of Lakeland, FL; Four grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Logan Davis of Ellijay, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Thom Shores officiating. Music and vocals will be by Irene Wofford. Graveside interment will follow at 11am on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. George McClellan will serve as the bagpiper.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until the service hour at 7pm on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 at the Logan Funeral Home.
