The Ridgeland Panthers came to the home of the Bobcats on Thursday after taking game one of the three game series.  The Cats were looking for a win to even the series and turn around a tough season.

The offense for the Cats sputtered over 7 innings only reaching base 6 times. Hunter Bowyer(1-3), McKinley Chadwick(1-3) and Tyler Woody(1-3) were able to put the bat on the ball for the Gilmer hits.  Sam Nicholson made it on base by way of error and Eric Turner would reach the bases twice with two walks. The Cats could not get a viable attack on the Panthers to plate runs.  The Panthers put 1 run in the first and 2 in the fifth to carry the 3-0 victory and guarantee the series win.

The Bobcats will travel to Ridgeland on Friday and try to avoid the series sweep.  The game  has been moved from a 5:30 pm start time and will now start at 5:00 pm
