The Team FYN Sports Sportswriter Player of the Week for August 31, 2018 is Austin Daman.  Daman saw his first action of the 2018 season in Friday nights game against Gordon Central.

Daman had Tommy John surgery back in the spring after an injury to his right elbow. The injury occurred while on the mound for the Gilmer Bobcats High School baseball team.  Austin has to wear a brace on that arm but his competitiveness and drive to get back in action is unequaled.

In Fridays game Daman had 2 receptions for 36 yards and 33 yards respectively.  As the season continues you can look forward to Daman to be more involved in the Bobcat offense.
