Doris Mooney: Obituary

Mrs. Doris Mooney age 82 of Ellijay, GA died Thursday October 18, 2018.

Mrs. Mooney was born June 19, 1936 in Cherokee County to the late Hubert and Ruby Cavender Jordan. She worked for Galaxy Carpet and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert Mooney; daughter, Maxine Price; sisters, Barbara Jarrett, Sylvia Roland; brothers, Robert Jordan and Stanley Jordan.

Survivors Include: daughters and son in-law, Christine Hicks, of Ellijay, GA, Betty Jean and Randy Ashe, of Chatsworth, GA; sons and daughter in-law, Danny and Beth Mooney, of Ellijay, GA, Gregory Mooney, of Ellijay, GA, Donny Mooney, of Ellijay, GA; brother and sisters in-law, Clifton and Joyce Jordan, of Ball Ground, GA, Rhonda Jordan, of Ball Ground, of Ellijay, GA; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 20^th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Arnold, Pastor Bob Smith and Rev. Steve Fields officiating. Interment will follow in the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday October 19^th from 5pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
