Geraldine (Goble) Parks

Ms. Julia Geraldine (Goble) Parks, age 84 of Ellijay, GA passed on Wednesday, January 30th, 2019 at the Ellijay Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Born May 31st, 1934 to her late parents, John William and Rosetta Padgett Goble in Talking Rock, GA. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church and retiree of the Ellijay Garment Company. Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband Herman Parks, son, Danny Parks and several siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday February 2nd, 2019 from the Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Vince Goble, Rev. Bryan Winkler and Rev. Tony Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Bobby Brewer, Herman “Bug” Brewer, Gary Stanley, Mitchel Stanley, Jackie Goble, Eddie Chastain and Chad Goble serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Goble, Edward Goble, Jerry Goble, Tommy Hicks and Ricky Chastain.

Geraldine is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanelle and Marty Hibberts of Ellijay, Diane & James Priest of Talking Rock, grandchildren, Jennifer Harper and Lori & Jason Moles both of Ellijay, great-grandchildren, Serena and Brianna Moles, sister, Charlcie Goble Brewer of Ellijay and brother, Harvey Eugene Goble of Ellijay and great-grand dog, Stormie Harper.
