Benny Johnson: Obituary

Mr. Benny Johnson age 79 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on August 26, 2019. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Pentecostal Church.  He was born in Greenville, Mississippi to his late parents Sam Allen Johnson and Christina Johnson Minchew. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, before retiring from the military.

Survivors include wife of 57 years, Elsie Lentz Johnson of the home in Ellijay; daughters and sons-in-law, Christina and Lance Cartwright of Sunrise Beach, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Cliff Curtis of Springfield, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Benny Allen & Kellie Johnson of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Brandi Hampton, Justin and Kodi Poindexter, Ryan Cartwright, Brian Kasper, Katelynn and Meagan Russ, Savana Johnson, Preston and Aleck McGowan, great-grandchildren, Brody Cartwright, Ben and Braiden Hampton, Jaxton, Jaden, Tucker, Beau Poindexter, Kadyn Holland, Brantley and Nova Kay Cartwright and Brayden Farr.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday 29^th, 2019 at 4:00pm from the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with Rev. Jackie Ellington officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 4:00pm Thursday August 29^th, 2019 prior to the service at the funeral home.
